I don't hate your guts. (Internal Design)

This week's assignment is to focus on something called Internal Design. Just as an earlier post was displaying External Design, Internal Design is all around us.

The first image is the grand staircase as displayed in the movie TITANIC. The intricate wood patterns in the railings, and the statue at the end of the centre railing beautifully designed.

On a different theme, the dashboard of a Mercedes Benz is very streamlined, and sleek. Everything just seems to be in the exact spot it needs to be. Nothing is over emphasized, and it is all just 'meant to be'.

Elevated Seating. What a genius concept. There is nothing worse than when you sit to see a ball game, or a concert, or movie, and Frankenstein sits his big fat head right in front of you. What's worse is that there are 38 empty seats on either side of him. But, with elevated seating, this is no longer an issue. Perfect for every viewer to peer right over anyone who might be too tall to be out in public.

Another nice display of internal design is a simple set of plans. If you want to know how something is going to look after it is finished, check these out. Of course, once the house is built, then comes the interior decorator (also internal design) to beautify your big, ugly empty space.

I am not sure if this qualifies as internal design, but I am always intrigued by the sheer precision of the gears of a watch. I think that what gets me the most is that they all used to be made 100% by hand, by real people and not computer driven punches and molds.
